Aptvy

SMS Messaging & Opt-In

Last updated: June 4, 2026

About this messaging program

Aptvy is an online appointment-scheduling platform used by independent service businesses. Businesses that use Aptvy send their own customers transactional text messages about appointments the customer booked — specifically booking confirmations and appointment reminders. These messages are one-to-one and are triggered by the customer's own booking. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

How customers opt in

Opt-in happens on a business's public Aptvy booking page (for example, aptvy.app/book/<business>). When requesting an appointment, the customer enters their name and mobile phone number and then actively checks a consent box that is unchecked by default to agree to receive appointment text messages. Text messages are sent only to customers who have checked this box. The exact consent statement shown on the form is:

What the customer sees on the booking form (consent box, shown unchecked by default)

The box is unchecked by default; the customer must actively check it to receive texts. Text messages are sent only to customers who check this box.
